Swarm was released in 2024 as an educational framework, with Agents and Handoffs as its two core abstractions. Now replaced by the Agents SDK, which supports 100+ LLMs.

Core primitives: Agents, Handoffs, Guardrails, Tracing, Realtime Agents, Human-in-the-loop. Coinbase built AgentKit in hours, Klarna handled two-thirds of support tickets.
